Industrial Hardware Distributors, Inc. (IHD) was founded in March 1978 in Akron, Ohio by Richard G. Capron (1923-1999) and James G. Ondecker (1928-1997).  Industrial Hardware is a global stocking distributor of locks, latches, handles, hinges and other related items necessary for many different types of industries.

Since the start of our company, we have added space to our Akron, Ohio warehouse twice and also added a warehouse in Ocala, Florida.  Despite our growth, IHD remains a family business.

We carry many of the most common industrial hardware items and some unique items as well.  We offer support before and after the sale through our very knowledgable sales department.
